The Scientific Subcommittee of SOFPON AGSM 2025 invites the submission of abstracts and free papers relevant to the conference theme and sub-themes. Join colleagues from across Nigeria and beyond to share your innovations, research findings, and clinical experiences in ophthalmology.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

A. Content:
Abstracts should be aligned with the conference theme/subthemes

B. Formatting:

  • Abstracts word limit should be between 250 -500 words.
  • Standard fonts like Times New Roman with size 12 points should be used.
  • Ensure concise and informative title
  • Follow this specific structure:
    # Introduction
    # Methods
    # Results
    # Conclusion
  • Use clear, concise language, avoiding jargon and overly
    complex sentences.
  • In terms of originality, highlight what makes your research unique and relevant.
  • Include major key findings, even if preliminary.
  • Clearly indicate the author who will present the research.
  • List all authors and their affiliations.
  • Indicate your preferred presentation format (oral or poster) by filling the Abstract
    form

C. Review and Revision

  • Carefully proofread your abstract for errors in grammar and spelling.
  • Ask colleagues or mentors to review your abstract for clarity and
    impact.
  • Adhere to Deadlines: Submit your abstract by the specified deadline
